City of Brantford wins Web Marketing Association 2019 “Best Government Website” Award

City Hall, City of Brantford

Brantford ON – The City of Brantford has been honoured with the prestigious 2019 Web Marketing Association Best Government website award for its website redevelopment project. The annual award recognizes one city, county, provincial or state government across North America for their work to engage citizens online while also providing innovative web services.

The City’s redesigned website, brantford.ca, was completed in February 2019 following an unprecedented public outreach effort including surveys, focus groups and workshops that helped inform the City’s Communication Strategy and scope of work for the website redevelopment project.

Key features of the new site include a fresh, contemporary look that is easier for visitors to navigate, an improved sitemap structure and enhanced search engine capability to help users find the information they need faster, as well as a responsive design that is compatible with smartphones and tablets.

Several microsites were also developed as part of the project including, Economic Development (advantagebrantford.ca), Careers (brantford.ca/careers), Brantford Transit (brantford.ca/transit), Brantford Fire (brantfordfire.ca) and the new WayneGretzkySportsCentre.ca microsite.
