Join us for a day of fun, fireworks, and incredible musical performances at Brantford’s Canada Day

BRANTFORD, ON – Get ready to join the fun at Brantford’s Canada Day with a fun-filled lineup of family-friendly activities and live music on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex. Main stage entertainment runs throughout the day ending with Suzie McNeil & The Chain Reaction opening for Canadian rock icon, The Trews, presented by OLG, followed by a dazzling fireworks display at 10 p.m.

New this year, attendees will not want to miss the Tim Burr Circus Lumberjack show presented by ServiceMaster Restore that includes jaw-dropping tricks with fire and hatchet and chainsaw juggling. Shows take place at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the red ball diamond.

Live music

Musical entertainment begins on the Main Stage at 12 p.m., with a diverse lineup of talented local and touring artists including Jocelyn June & The Bugs at 12:10 p.m., The Dirt Road Travelers at 1:25 p.m., Andrew Irving at 2:30 p.m. Tonewheels at 3:40 p.m., and Coty Robinson at 4:50 p.m. Canadian music legends Suzie McNeil & The Chain Reaction perform their pop hits beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by this year’s headliner and iconic rock band The Trews at 8 p.m. Accessible seating to view performances is available at the front of the Main Stage.

Children’s activities

Exciting family-friendly entertainment, interactive displays and activities, presented by Hickory Dickory Decks, will be available in the Young Canadians Area open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Kiki Total Outrage Show kicks-off the afternoon in high gear performing astounding hula hoop tricks and moves to upbeat 80s music at 12 p.m. In keeping with this year’s Young Canadians theme - Building is Fun, children can enjoy a special Storytime with PAW Patrol’s Rubble and Dexter, and City of Brantford construction and engineering staff, followed by meet and greets with PAW Patrol’s Rubble and Bob the Builder throughout the afternoon. The BarryO Kids Show returns this year with entertaining magic tricks and hilarious ventriloquism act at 1:30 p.m., 2:40 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Pony rides will be available for $10 per ride.

Midway, Food and Marketplace

Albion Amusements presents the KidZone Carnival and Midway with thrilling rides to enjoy from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Ride tickets and ride-all-day wristbands can be purchased on-site or in advance online. Purchase Ride-All-Day Bracelets online until June 30, 2025, for a special rate of $35 each. Find details at Brantford.ca/CanadaDay under the ‘Activities’ tab.

Popular food vendors will be serving up delicious bites and refreshing beverages from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Bring your appetite and choose from a variety of options including classic fair favourites, international flavors, and unique local specialties.

Support local and take a stroll through the Canada Day Marketplace proudly presented by Mitsui High-Tec (Canada) Inc, open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Discover a wide array of handmade goods, fashion, accessories, unique treasures and more. Local artisans and crafters will showcase their one-of-a-kind creations, offering something for every interest.

The Canada Day Green Team and the City of Brantford is committed to diverting 75 per cent of the waste generated at this year's event. Attendees are asked to bring a reusable water bottle with them to the event. The City of Brantford Quench Buggy will be onsite for free water refills presented by Healthy Kids Brantford.

Transportation

A complimentary shuttle service presented by Brant Animal Aid Foundation is available to help attendees get to and from Lions Parks Steve Brown Sports Complex on Tuesday, July 1. Attendees are encouraged to ride the free shuttle offered by Brantford Transit. Find a list of pick-up and drop-off locations including times at Brantford.ca/CanadaDay. On-site parking is also available for $10 per vehicle in support of the non-profit charity Rotary Club of Brantford-Sunrise who support local charitable organizations. Brantford Lift is also available for anyone requiring accessible transportation and must be pre-booked by Friday, June 27 at 9:30 p.m. by calling 519-752-4444 or emailing brantfordlift@brantford.ca.

Volunteer opportunities

There are several ways to get involved in this year’s Canada Day event. The City is currently seeking volunteers to assist with set-up and take-down, parking services (must be 18 or older), clean-up, and other duties as assigned for various events. As a thank you, volunteers will receive a keepsake t-shirt and high school community hours will apply where applicable.

Volunteer applications are available at Brantford.ca/CanadaDayVolunteer and will be accepted until Sunday, June 22, 2025.

About The Trews
