Music in the Square live concert series returns to Harmony Square this summer

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is pleased to bring back the popular Music in the Square, free live music series this summer to Harmony Square, located at 89 Dalhousie Street. Families can enjoy the talents of local and visiting musicians on Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. July 8 to September 2, 2022, as well as two special performances on Sunday, August 28 and September 4, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“There is something special about live outdoor music and we’re excited to bring back this popular free concert series to the Square this summer,” says Jennifer Middleton, Coordinator of Special Events for the City of Brantford. “There will be a wide selection of music genres to inspire the community to get up and dance!”

This music series, sponsored by The Crew Real Estate, will have the audience tapping their toes and dancing along to the music with performances ranging from Against One, a tribute to Pearl Jam, to the Telephone City Musical Society, playing movie soundtrack favourites and everything in between. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair with them to the event.

  • July 8: Elvis in the Square, featuring Bruno Nesci,  a special Elvis tribute artist.
  • July 15: 5 Against One, a tribute to Pearl Jam playing all the classic hits.
  • July 22: Telephone City Musical Society, playing favourites from movies, musicals, and classic hits.
  • July 29: Jeff Madden, performing everyone’s favourite musical theatre hits.
  • August 5: Cher and Freddy Mercury Tribute, featuring Kara Chandler from Brantford performing as Cher and Sean Hauk from Brantford performing as Freddie Mercury.
  • August 12: Twin Spin, playing rock and roll classic hits.
  • August 19: BarCode, celebrating 19 years of the best live music.
  • August 26: Garrett Vandenburg, an Indie rock infused singer and song writer.
  • Sunday, August 28: WindWerx from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., playing a variety of wind instruments with a quirky spin of classical and contemporary music.
  • September 2: Corner Pocket, a six-piece dance band performing classics from the 1960’s through to today.
  • Sunday, September 4: Brantford Community Symphony Orchestra from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., celebrating the Brantford Community Symphony 11th anniversary of music making, for an afternoon of music.
