BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford and Brantford’s Canada Day Committee, in partnership with The Kiwanis Club of Brantford (Kiwanis), is excited to announce the return of the annual Show Your Spirit Home Decorating Contest. Residents wishing to participate are asked to register online by Wednesday, June 8, 2022 and decorate the exterior of their homes in red and white by Wednesday, June 22, 2022, to be entered for the chance to prizes.

“The Kiwanis Club of Brantford received over 60 entries last year for the Show Your Spirit Contest,” says Randy MacKenzie, President of The Kiwanis Club of Brantford. “We’re looking forward to topping those numbers this year and showcasing Brantford’s proud Canadian spirit.”

Residents who pre-register to participate in the contest will have their homes judged for the chance to win a grand prize of $1,000, plus a $500 donation to a registered charity of their choice. There will also be the chance to win one of five runner-up prizes of $200 each. The prizes are courtesy of Kiwanis. All entries will be judged by Kiwanis members and Mayor Kevin Davis from June 22 to 29, 2022, with the winners being announced at Brantford’s Canada Day event at Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex on Friday, July 1, 2022.
