 The Brant Tree Coalition has cancelled the following tree planting events as a precautionary measure to reduce the risk of community spread of Coronavirus COVID-19.

  • Brantford Community Tree Plant – April 19th
  • The Brant Tree Coalition High School Tree Planting Event – April 22nd
  • Brant Community Tree Plant – April 25th
  • Annual Rotary Spring Tree Plant – May 3rd.

Parks Services

 City Parks and Trails remain open. As park amenities are not sanitized, residents are asked to ensure they are adhering to strict social distancing guidelines (6 ft apart) and are taking the following precautions while enjoying outdoor parks and public spaces:

  • Stay home if you are feeling unwell
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Keep a safe distance of 6 feet or 2 metres from those around you
  • Avoid touching your face
  • No hug or handshakes

Recreation Programs, Swim Lessons and Rental Refunds

 A full refund will be issued to personal ActiveNet accounts for the following;

  • All cancelled March break day camps and programs
  • All rentals scheduled to take place during facility closures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic

For programs and swim lessons that are currently in session, or were scheduled to take place during the closure, registrants will receive a prorated credit on their ActiveNet account for the duration of the closure. If a program is still in session during the closure, the classes missed will be credited to relevant ActiveNet accounts once facilities reopen.

 We kindly ask for the public’s patience as we work towards processing everyone’s accounts and respond to questions in as timely a manner as possible.

Memberships

 All current passholder accounts for members of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre and/or the Beckett Adult Leisure Centre will automatically be placed on hold until the facility reopens. Monthly pre-authorized payment (PAP) passholders accounts will not have their April 15th payment processed automatically.  Thank you for your understanding.
